Ampaire Grand Caravan speed run!

Improving our flights database

Thanks to a reader tip, we’ve been alerted to the fact that we were missing some of Ampaire’s Grand Caravan flights.

Well, we solved that as soon as we could, and now there are fresh flights for folks to check out! These are some good looking flights.

There is an Ampaire Grand Caravan flight from Camarillo to Long Beach that’s especially pretty, hugging the coast until it comes in to final approach and landing.

Our data points to this 126 km flight coming in at 34 minutes, which makes sense given that we saw the aircraft touch 295 kts. Seems like they were trying to make up some time!

We’ve had Ampaire Skymaster flights on record (affectionately known as the electric eel, in what I can only guess is a reference to the hacker alphabet known as 1337 speak), but this is a first to have the Grand Caravan flights. Thanks Ed!
