A big week - while Joby took a rest, lots of OEMs are up!

I’ve also been hard at work on releasing the next SkyZero Podcast episode. We interview Vries Strookman, of Amsterdam’s Urban Sky Lab. They’re working with city, province and national ministries to think through how to best integrate drone, VTOL, eVTOL and other traffic. This is a bit of a “kicking off” for season two, which will be folding in more drone content than last season. The episode drops in only a few hours, keep an eye out for the email.

EVTOL Weekly

2026 Week 19 (May 4th- 10th)

On to the EVTOL Weekly content! As usual, we’ll cover Archer, BETA TECHNOLOGIES, Joby and Vertical Aerospace. First up is analysis, followed by the flight logs, followed by the low precision report.

Analysis

↗️ Archer

While one of the flights was just a quick hover, its nice to see Archer flying three times.

↗️ BETA TECHNOLOGIES

BETA is up, both in VTOL and CTOL. CTOL touring was big this week! Both in Florida and Sweden. VTOL flying is on a real upswing.

↘️ Joby

Joby took a beat after last week’s big show in the Big Apple

↗️ Vertical Aerospace

Two flights from Vertical, substantially up

Flight Logs

Archer (CTOL)

  • 3 flights (+3 over last week)

  • 43 minutes of flight time (+43 minutes over last week)

  • 144 km (+144 km over last week)
